Not every walk needs a destination. Sometimes it's enough to simply set off – along the Stainzbach, through the vineyards, with no clock in mind.
Right from Our Door
- A short riverside path along the Stainzbach for the odd half hour in between
- Gentle hills around Stainz for longer loops of one to two hours
- Paths through the vineyards of the Schilcherland that visibly change with the seasons
For Longer Tours
If you have more time, the surrounding area offers marked hiking trails toward Ligist and Deutschlandsberg – easy to combine with a stop at a Buschenschenke (wine tavern) or the Ligist Castle Ruins.
No Equipment, No Registration
No guided tour, no fixed program – you decide how far and how long. For anyone who prefers to be out alone or as a couple, that's often exactly right.
