When we founded Johann & Anna in Stainz years ago, a packed schedule was never the point. We were after the opposite: rooms that invite you to settle, a stream that's already murmuring before you've unpacked your suitcase, permission to spend a whole day without having to accomplish anything. That this exact feeling now has a name – "vacation with purpose" – confirms one thing above all: the longing for real pauses was never a niche interest. It was just quiet.

You may know the feeling yourself. Your calendar is full, your head is too, and the next vacation is supposed to empty both. Except a tightly scheduled trip full of experiences often does the opposite.
