The New Outdoor Pool in Stainz: Summer Fun a Short Walk from Johann & Anna
After years of planning and construction, Stainz finally has its new outdoor pool. Since May 24, 2025, guests and locals alike have been able to jump into the cool water, and the official opening celebration followed on June 28. For our guests at Johann & Anna, the pool is just a few minutes' walk away — perfect for a spontaneous dip or a relaxed afternoon by the poolside.
The facility has been completely modernized and offers the right water experience for every age. All the key features are already up and running: a big water slide that's fun for kids and adults alike, a large and a small diving platform, and comfortable diving boards. There's also a sports pool, a children's pool, and a large non-swimmer pool, so both serious swimmers and splash-around fans get their money's worth.
Special attention was paid to family-friendly attractions. Through a public participation process, the planners took plenty of local wishes into account: alongside the sports area, there's a long slide, a 3-meter and a 1-meter diving platform, a shallow paddling pool for children, and lots of interactive water features. Elements like the water bell, water hedgehog, water mushroom, and neck shower keep things varied and turn every visit into an experience for young and old alike.
The outdoor pool has plenty to offer beyond the water, too: around a million liters of fresh water are continuously cleaned through modern filter systems, and water quality is monitored around the clock. A children's playground invites kids to run wild, and generous sunbathing lawns offer plenty of room to relax. Catering is run by the Landgasthof Steinbäck, serving regional food, snacks, and refreshing drinks. Whether you're after a day pass, an afternoon ticket, a season pass, or a group rate, there's an option for everyone.
